SCHEDULE
09:00-09:30: coffee and warm welcome from the Barbarians team
09:30-10:00: Sports Wheelchair Allocation and Health & Safety talk - Wheelchairs will be allocated to each player and then there will be free time to explore the sports wheelchair. Mick, an ex-pro rugby player and Adam head coach at North East Barbarians and GBWR official will introduce themselves and describe the schedule for the day's activities.
10:00-10:45: Wheelchair Orientation and some fun games with Mick
10:45-11:00: Water & Banana Break
11:00-12:00: Training with Head Coach Adam - learning the basics of the game and working on hand to eye coordination and communication skills.
12:00-13:00: 3-course lunch and an after dinner talk by one of the wheelchair rugby first team players. Pub a 1 minute walk from the sports arena.
13:00-13:30: Trust Building Exercise with Mick
13:30-14:30: Game related team drills and tactics with Adam
14:30-15:00: Water & Chocolate Break. The group will be split into 2 teams and allocated a team coach (Mick or Adam).
15:00-16:00: Team coach will prepare the team for the final game.
16:00-17:00: Game
17:30: Prizes and presentations in the pub next door.
