Hen weekends in Manchester are nothing short of amazing. A mixture of contemporary and the good old northern charm, Manchester is the perfect place for an unforgettable trip with your best girlfriends. You’re guaranteed great nights out, top class entertainment and the chance to drop all your inhibitions at the door! Being one of the most fashion-conscious cities in the UK, it’s heaven for lovers of shopping (we don’t need to tell you about the intu Trafford Centre!). So get the girls together for a hen weekend that can take any tempo you choose, from mellow to hardcore, and get ready to rock.
It’s never been easier to get around Manchester; the city centre is walk-able, but there are also trams, buses and taxis if you’re wanting to explore the different quarters. But don’t forget about the free shuttle service (The Metroshuttle) which connects to all the tram and bus stops, as well as car parks and train stations! Now it wouldn’t be an authentic Manchester experience without a bit of rain (it’s England, right?), so pack an umbrella!
You used to be able to get away with much more than you can in Manchester nowadays, and that’s probably for the best! But, with a bit of planning, you and the girls will be celebrating and experiencing the bad-girl charm of the place in no time.
Famous for its musical heritage, the bohemian Northern Quarter is a must for all art and music lovers! There’s also tons of great bars, pubs and clubs during the day if you're looking for a more laid-back vibe. If you fancy livelier crowds, Deansgate Locks is the place to be - with trendy bars and lots of fantastic venues to experience with the girls.
You can find delicious international cuisine easily in Manchester - indeed, it is home to the Curry Mile, which consists of no less than 360 curry shops! The shopping is superb - how else could all the locals get all their trendy togs? - and the relaxation facilities (spas, massage parlours) are wonderful.
Manchester takes good care of its hens, with all the activities you'd expect and more! You can go drink tasting (perfect regardless of whether you prefer the hard stuff or just a quick tipple) or get the full model experience with a makeup and photoshoot on the mellow end of things, or head out for go karting and paintball if you want to ramp up the energy.
But we all know things will kick off after dark, so get yourselves glammed up for going out - and let charming butlers with bums serve you aperitifs! Once you hit the town, you’ll be spoilt for choice!
