As the capital and largest city in Croatia, Zagreb is quickly earning a name for itself for being one of the best locations for a hen do of any proportion. The North-Western capital is one of Europe’s most vibrant party destinations, and is the perfect hen destination for a weekend of fun, cheap thrills and debauchery. A mix of some of Zagreb’s old and new features make it a great spot for sightseeing, dining out and awesome late night antics. A trip to Zagreb for you hen do is a must, and you can guarantee you won’t experience thrills like this anywhere else!
Being the largest city in Croatia, Zagreb is divided into two distinct sections – the Upper Town and the Lower Town. Both of these are essential to any hen weekend in Zagreb. The Upper Town (known as Gornji Grad) is a thousand year old section of the city that is home to all of the city’s most iconic sights and tourist spots. This district is for all the history buffs – there are some excellent galleries and museums for you to explore, so you can feel more like a tourist. The Lower Town (known as Donji Grad) is the place to go afterwards. You’ll find tons of places to go shopping here and it is where all of the people come to party! There are pubs, clubs and bars littered around this district, so you can really let loose on your hen weekend.
Getting around and about Zagreb couldn’t be any easier than it is today. The city’s public transport system is efficient, effective and reliable – running until 4 am! If public transport is not really your style, Zagreb is an increasingly cycle friendly city. Taking a leaf out of London’s book, there are push bikes dotted around this city and are free to use – it’s the perfect way to work off that hangover. It is also pretty easy to get around the city on foot, if you prefer the traditional mode of transport.
Whether you want to go all out on your big weekend, or simply relax with your closest friends in celebration, Zagreb will certainly look after you. Zagreb hen dos are known for being memorable - and for all the right reasons! Fancy seeing what else the city has to offer? Choose from one of our awesome hen party packages in Zagreb.
The city itself is usually overlooked as a party destination – but that is a huge mistake! You can start your night right will a bar crawl around the city, taking in the sights as you take in the alcohol. Or perhaps you’d rather go for something a little classier like spirit and wine tasting?
For those of you who are looking for adventure on your hen weekend, nothing is more exhilarating that a session of go karting or buggy racing. These aren't traditional hen activities, but that doesn’t make them any less exciting. If you want to show each other who is the boss of the group, paintballing and dance classes are some of the best ways to bring out your competitive side and separate the girls from the women.
