Stag Do in Bucharest

It's a city on the rise, in more ways than one. Since the fall of Communism loads of swish new glass and steel buildings have gone up and buzzing nightlife has returned to city, so you can count on a wild weekend on your Bucharest stag do. Today Bucharest is a mishmash of historic Old Town with its magnificent architecture, brutal Communist apartment blocks, and ultra-modern new-builds.

Flights over there take no more than three to four hours and you'll find connections from regional spots like Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. EasyJet can whisk you over there from Gatwick for about £45. Coaches run between the airport and Bucharest 24 hours a day.

And once you've arrived the prices are just as inviting, pints of lager won't cost more much more than £1.50 and there's talk of beers for no more than the equivalent of 50p! Picking up a bit of food on the hoof costs less than a fiver to keep you charged up, and 24 hour passes for the Metro system that'll get you anywhere in the city are gloriously cheap at only around £1.60.

Sport and beer are massive in Romania, which is very handy for stag parties! Tickets for the big clubs Steaua or Dinamo Bucharest in Liga 1 can be arranged beforehand or bought on the day. Compared with the whopping fees you have to pay to get into a Premier League game these days, tickets in Bucharest are a fraction of the price. We're talking a couple of quid here, no more…

Otherwise you can spend your daytime on your Bucharest stag do getting guided tours round the sites like the massive Palace of the Parliament built by nutty dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Or if you fancy something more competitive, and something to get the macho juices flowing, there's AK 47, Glock pistol or Uzi machine-gun shootingpaintballing or laser tag. And karting or rally-driving in the forests surrounding the city, with transport and instruction thrown in before you nail it round the course.

As for the stag do evenings…well you're spoilt for choice. When booking your stag weekend here, it's a great idea to look at our Bucharest stag do packages, they make deciding what to do here a little easier. The big bar and club districts are Lipscani, Regie and the Old Town where you'll find loads of beerhalls, Irish pubs, and wine cellars like Argentin and Caru ce Bere. A shout out too for Oktoberfest that's open 21 hours a day across 3 floors.

Guides; male and female can be sorted out to take you to the best or wildest spots for the obligatory stag do all-nighter. A traditional Romanian dinner can be sorted out as a starter before strippers and a few rounds of local spirits palinka and juisa, and then VIP entry for some more lap-dancing, mud wrestling or a lesbian show. You won't be bored on your Bucharest stag do, that's for sure…
