Munich is the perfect place for your hen weekend getaway - the whole city looks and feels like a fairy-tale. With beer. The Germans know how to party all night, and they won't look down at starting early, either. There are so many hen do activities in Munich to enjoy - including art and opera, an extravagant castle and one of the most famous glockenspiels in the world, and most important of all, plenty of tall, strapping local guys to ogle.
Munich is Germany's second city, the Capital of Bavaria, host to millions upon millions of visitors each year. The city is full of Bavarian cliche's, but it's also ultramodern and doesn't shy away from intense nightlife. Bars are opening and closing all the time, so the shape of the city's party culture is always shifting. The motto of the city has been "Munchen mag dich" ("Munich loves you") since 2006, and overall you really do get the feeling that most of the people in Munich are game for a laugh.
Pretty much any airport in the UK can get you to Munich, but your cheapest options will generally be London, Manchester, or Edinburgh from about £30 or less with EasyJet. The trip breezed by at just under two hours. Everywhere you'll want to go and everything you'll want to see in town is easily accessible on foot or via the overground and underground trains - just be sure you're on the platform right on time, because these train schedules are serious business!
It doesn't have to be Oktoberfest for you to have an amazing Munich hen do (though it never hurts to visit for Oktoberfest!). Whether you want to take a guided beer-crawl and experience as many of Munich's 20 beer halls as you can, or you'd rather get out of the city for some white water rafting or go-karting, they can oblige! There are so many Munich hen do activities to choose from. Classics like paintballing and high-ropes courses are all here for you to enjoy, but if you're looking to relax you can always take some time out at a spa or just wander the charming streets of the city and check out a museum or two (there are over 60 of them to choose from!).
When it comes to getting ready and going out, you can be as laid back or as glam as you like. Tons of relaxed bars are open late and are friendly for groups of girls out on the town. If you want to go full-throttle, though, grab a limo to take you around town while you sip on bubbly (strippers optional!). Then it's VIP treatment at the top nightclubs in Munich with a guide to make sure you get what you're after - and you can always hire a little male company to surprise the hen and get some priceless pics! Make the Munich hen do the one to remember!
