Dressing up on your stag weekend night out is a very popular thing to do, it's something to remember, it creates laughs and giggles and it's a way to bond with the lads. Finding a fun and suitable theme for all of your friends to enjoy can be difficult, here are some of our favourites.

Darth Vader & Storm Troopers

Following the recent trend of star wars, we thought it would be an amazing idea for the stag to dress as Darth Vader and the lads to dress as storm troopers, if you are happy to turn to the dark side, that it. Dressing up with the helmets may make it hard to have a pint at the bar, so maybe choose to do this when you are out for a stag do activity at a shooting range or combat area.

Smurfs

This one is easy to do, all you need it white peaked hats, sky blue paint for your skin, white trousers and shoes and sky blue shirts, pretty simple but really bright. You will be sure to get all of the attention in every bar you visit on your stag weekend in this costume. Nominate which stag gets which Smurf name, Papa Smurf, Lazy Smurf, Baby Smurf, Baker Smurf, Clumsy Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Handy Smurf, Farmer Smurf, Greedy Smurf and Grouchy Smurf.

Super Heroes

Be your favourite superhero be it Batman, Superman or even Spiderman. Not a good idea to be trying to crawl up tall buildings, or fly off them though. Just don't expect to be the only one dressed as Batman. Maybe choose everyone's outfit by picking names out of a hat or drawing straws.

Morphs

Morph Suits made of lycra, it's not easy on the eye unless you're a gymnast, but hilarious. If you have the guts to wear on of these in public, than you will have many laughs throughout the night. It is a full body suit, with many different colours to choose from, why not pick one horrendous one and draws straws to see who gets it?

Greeks and Romans

Choose from Apollo, Hades, and Hermes, Poseidon or the king of the gods Zeus and wear your toga with pride. It might be worth remembering to put some underwear underneath however in case your toga should fall off, or it blows in the wind. Getting arrested for public indecencies is not the best way to end your stag weekend, pretty epic/memorable, but the wife to be won't be happy.

Pirates

This is your chance to be a rowdy, beer swilling pirate, confess your love for rum while singing in your puffy sleeves, eye patch, parrot on the shoulder and your sword. If all of the lads dress up, it will be fun to give all of your party members pirate names that you can use throughout the night.

Military

Whether you choose an Army, Navy or RAF outfit you are sure to impress. Perhaps you could incorporate your combat theme (complete with war paint) into one of your weekend activities, there are many military stag do activities to choose form, AK-47 shooting, airsoft, rifle shooting, laser tank war and so many more.

Hippies

This was a fun era, so why not go back in time before stepping into the future with the one you are going to marry. Free love and peace and way out clothes are the foundations of a Hippy stag weekend, guitar playing and lots of bandanas simply compliment it.

Firemen

Firemen are heroic, fun and hunky, so why of course this is a popular stag weekend costume theme. Dress up as real life hero and play some fun pub games to begin the night.
